History:
Rina was born to commoners in Dentoria, the middle child in a family that had run an inn along the border to Atsiria for generations. The inn, located just within Dentoria and in the near vicinity of Temair, is located at a crossroads of trade routes, and although it had originally been slow to get started, its success has endured through generations of the family.

Rina's mother passed away when Rina was seven years old, leaving behind Rina, her father, her older brother (then eleven years old), and her younger sister (then only four). Rina took it upon herself to fill in her mother's shoes, and despite her young age began to pick up much of the housekeeping around the inn, as well as looking after her sister. She began taking on more and more responsibility as she grew older, and now, at age seventeen, she has the knowledge to almost run the inn singlehandedly--although she'd have trouble getting everything done without a few people to direct in certain tasks.

But since her father and brother are still around and working, Rina mostly just handles housekeeping and sometimes serving guests. Her brother also taught her a bit of archery while she was growing up, because he thought it would be "a useful skill," but Rina had little time or interest to keep in practice, so her skills are nothing to write home about.


Personality:
Rina is a practical girl who believes that hard work is the key to success. She's willing to do her fair share and more with little or no complaint--more likely with a smile and a song, in fact. She has a friendly nature, and is used to dealing with people, a natural side effect of her family's business. She's content with her lot in life and doesn't aspire to leave the inn; she'd be perfectly happy running it for the rest of her life, and indeed this is what she plans to do. She does, however, live vicariously through the tales of travelers who pass through, and she's always interested in hearing what others have to say about their journeys, lives, and experiences.

Rina can be a flirt when she chooses--which is usually when she's serving dinner to guests who might be willing to part with a bigger tip. She's willing to play the part, but she considers it only another part of the job and she's much more serious and selective about her own love life. And while her sister isn't old enough to serve the tables yet, Rina will surely be watching her like a hawk when that day comes--because if she herself flirts a bit with older men to get a tip, that's one thing, but she's certainly not going to let the same happen to her baby sister.


Appearance:
Rina is of average height, with a slender but toned build--she's gotten her strength up by hauling loads of laundry, dishes from the kitchens, and suchlike. She has long blonde hair, which she typically wears pulled back in a simple ponytail, where it won't get in the way. Her complexion is average; most of the work she does is indoors, so she doesn't have much chance to get a tan. She has blue eyes.
